When traveling, it helps when you can stay in the home of another dog lover. Here’s just a few of the decorations that were in my guest bedroom last night:

The quotation reads ‘A friend is not a feller who is taken in by sham; a friend is one who knows our faults and doesn’t give a damn!’ From the writings of J A McEvoy
With thanks to my hosts:
and their person, Betsy (sorry, no photo of Betsy!)

I have a copy of this little poem by McEvoy. I was searching on line to find out more about it and was so surprised to come across it on you website! McEvoy lived in the late 1800 and early 1900’s. I want to find out more about this.
I gave this verse and picture to my Dad on his 50th birthday in 1973. My Dad has passed on but the verse will be with me always.
It’s an ‘oldie but a goodie’. I particularly liked the image of the dog on this one, which was also a sign of its age.
