Daisy’s birthday adventures

Today we woke up and went to the largest dog park in Christchurch, The Groynes.  Although the sun was coming up, it was also showering and we saw a lovely rainbow settle over the park:

Daisy loves being off-lead and able to exhibit her natural dog instincts.  She looks up to keep tabs on me often, but enjoys foraging around:

And tonight Daisy enjoyed a slice of her birthday cake for dessert.  This cake is salmon and rice, with a lowfat cream cheese frosting, doggy choc drops and homemade chicken & parsley doggy treats:

Happy Birthday, Daisy.  I love you!

Dexter’s first birthday

I’m a caterer – but of the doggy kind.  I took an order a few weeks ago from the Herne Bay Local Eatery and Bar for a special Dog and Grog event (these events are held the last Sunday of every month when patrons and their dogs are all welcome to attend).

The special event was Dexter’s first birthday.

Anna is the manager of the restaurant and also Dexter’s mother.  From the photos she’s sent in, all had a wonderful time.  Thanks for your support of Canine Catering, Anna!

Lady royals delight – in dog biscuits!

I think I’m becoming a royalist.  The top ladies (the Queen, the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge) are all dog owners.  And this week the people at Fortnum &  Mason knew how to please them.

Each of the royals was gifted with a hamper which included Hearty Treats for Happy Hounds when they visited the retailer based in Piccadilly.

“Of course they all have dogs and we do want to think about what our customers like,” said Fortnum’s managing director Beverley Aspinall.
